I just got this near mint/NOS Fenwicke shave soap in wooden bowl and am wondering if anyone has any info, history etc on this brand of soap? Any info is greatly appreciated.
i had an nos olde english lavender puck in a red plastic bowl/container.didn't have fenwick on it.could be the same stuff just newer..no other info unfortunately..
There are mentions of it in at least two old forums here on TSD, one of which also mentions a talc. and at least two over on b&b, one of which also mentions a brush. All i could find.
Thanks for letting me know; I found the 2 articles here on TSD. One of them claim it’s from the 1950’s-60’s.
Slim pickings out there. Here is a listing for a Fenwicke talc on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/882758550/vintage-1940s-talc-for-men-powder-tin At the bottom of the can in the photos is "225 Fifth Ave., New York." That address is currently a bank. This link shows a Fenwicke brand launched by a Terri Cosmetics Inc in New York: http://www.perfumeintelligence.co.uk/library/perfume/t/t5/t5p1.htm
