Lots and lots of sanding. The blade is still incredibly sharp, so, I put tape over the edge. I've sliced myself too many times. Also, the rust was all over, so, I didn't try to save the Gold Wash. A lot of the etching is still visible, in the light. No buffing, because I thought the minor imperfections left by the rust, would be exemplified, like neon. I can still buff it out, before I hit the stones. Any thoughts on this? After
I like it the way it is... maybe some 0000 steel wool and Flitz/polish of choice, but I think it looks pretty sweet as it is.
