Hi, I have bought this straight razor ....yes it's new, but is not in best condition, I am looking for a person able to restore it.... José Monserrat Pou "Medallon Taurino" 14 estocada
I'd love to get my hands on that baby, but I'm still finishing my move to the new home, processing the pending orders (which are a lot ), honing one or another straight razor and nursing my baby girl at the same time. Oh, and I have a day job I only have Medallon Taurino in the "13" model. I'd love to have one in "14", which is my favorite Filly size... Good luck
New home!! Best wishes to your new home,....It's most impotant to take care about your daughter and your house than this little steel piece....I promise pics of the razor......
A lot of thanks to Klaus (moviemaniac),who does an excellent work on this razor, I am excited to try it,....Look at that! WELL DONE KLAUS!!!!!!
Well from those pics it looks good I bet that baby shaves like silk, something about those Spanish blades man they take a very sharp edge, but it manages to stay smooth feeling too... Looks like a nice clean restore Klaus, good job...I like that you manged to keep the gold etch that is no small feat, I am just putting the finishing touches on a #13 Filly and it was tuff keeping the gold...
in any case it was long time ago...hm probably just holding and looking at this razor invokes certain feelings of times bygone, something about past, the period when the razor was made and life then which will never be repeated again...
Yes Hyperborean, this razor never will be made again....The production of steel of Toledo has finished...as other vintage razors is a piece of the history, very romantic (in the historic and artistic sense developed in Europe in the XIX), very pleasant to me...
