Finally After Nine Years Acquired a Bottom Dial.

    After nine years of collecting I finally have one! 1960 F 4 Gillette Bottom Dial 195.
    Although this want the popular choice for shavers back in 1960 it’s still a cool piece !

    Ha, I'd be last man standing . I believe I once rated the bottom dial the ugliest razor ever (some Chinese models probably since edged closer).

    Seven (count em 7) different pointlessly contrasting textures competing for your attention. A violation of everything sacred in good industrial design.

    Not to take away from its value as a collectible of course, and even ugly ducklings can be loveable so I can still earnestly say congratulations to the OP.

    This ugly duck has 9 adjustable settings. And I’m a huge fan of traditional 3 PC razors as you could probably tell from the back round.
