Earlier today I posted some pics of the Gillette NEW that I had just obtained. I was going to wait for Friday to do a Grandpa Shave but couldn't wait and needed a shave anyway. Loaded a new Crystal and used a super lather of VDH soap and Figaro Cream mixed with a Semogue 2015 HD. Great BBS shave. No nicks or abrasions. I admit I was very careful and took a long time. I have now shaved with a long handle slim adj. a Fatboy, a Tech, and 3 different SS's. The NEW was the best shave out of all of them. Why did they even bother making these other razors? I know, everyone's different and have different results. It was a rhetorical question. Looks like this will be my goto razor unless I'm in a hurry, then it's the ball end Tech or the Blue Tip, or the injector or..................Man what have I gotten myself into?:whacky011
I'm sure you're gonna love it. One thing that surprised me was I could use long strokes with this. Also the open comb leaves just enough lather behind to make a comfortable 2nd pass.
