No, not the shaving product. I'm talking about real life, honest to goodness, no foolin' H2O. How is it in the Orlando area? The reason I'm asking is, my family and I are planning a trip to Disney World and we're trying to figure out if we should take bottles with filters in them, or if the tap water tastes okay to drink untreated. Someone told us the water is nasty in them parts, and I want to know what you think. Do you drink water straight out of the tap?
Lived there 90% of my life about 30 miles outside of O-town and the water isn't horrible. I have heard non-natives complain. I'd bring filters and brew your own from the tap, especially when you are at the theme parks, their water is putrid. Hotel water won't be too awful.
*in a ghostly voice* Beware the theme park's water..... *no longer in the ghostly voice* And buying bottles on site is going to be at least $2.50 if not $4.50 per.
Hotel, restaurant, and household water should be ok in the city limits, outside the city limits you'll hit some sulfur water straight from the aquifer. It'll taste fine, but it'll smell eggy. Some folks can't tolerate it. Make it part of the experience. Mickey and water that smells like egg salad. *shrugs*
I'm not a native Floridian and find the sulfur and bleach smell in the tap water to be nauseating. I would highly recommend bringing your own filters and bottles, especially since the park prices are so outrageous. Jeff just doesn't notice the smell of the water because when we're in Orlando we're camped out at Kitty O'Shea's and are not drinking water!!
