These 2 Frank brushes had Best Badger knots in them and as a result of last months focus using brushes I didn't use much I decided to restore and change the knots in both.

I added washers in the holes to give the handles more weight. I then installed A P Shave Co. Cashmere (left) and Faux Horsehair right. I will be able to use them now.
The depth of the hole where only 10 mm after I removed the knots. I was able to pull one knot out so the workmanship left must to be desired.

Very handsome restore! Going back to bare wood, stain, clear? What brand products did you use?
APShaveCo did well providing different diameter knots. I'm hoping the texture is similar to their Tuxedo and awaiting your future impressions.

I have been using Minwax Polyurethane, Stain, and Paste Finishing and Wax. I've used both of these knots in other handles and I like them.

10mm? That seems very shallow. My preference is for a 14-16mm depth setting.
