Dean, Wait's Compendium only identifies OLYFA as a French made Double Edge razor with no additional information.

Here is the only other information I can find.

Good that this razor has his own Thread. I want to show you my Olyfa which i got on Christmas. It´s in a (for me) very good condition. Here are some pics.

The Razor came in this beautyful case with 5 blades.

The Razor seems to be out of the "Art Deco"-Time. But i will have a look at B&B to get some more informations. The first shave with it on Christmas Eve was wonderful. Gentle and toroughly (with an Astra SP). This is a razor which doesn´t look like "every other". You know what i mean. The design is somewhat "unique". I like it a lot.

It shaves very very gentle. First when you load the blade, it looks a bit aggressive (i will try to make photos of it), but when you shave it´s very very mild. Like an EJ DE89. A very nice feeling on the skin while shaving. No nicks, no cuts, irritations whatsoever. A great little razor. I will post the weight later. It won´t be too heavy because the handle is hollow.
