I have my Provence Sante and want to put it in a stick, and I was wondering since it's veggie based that it will melt like any glycerin soap in the microwave, but being that it's milled and hard like a tallow, will that work or does it need to be grated? It's the only one I have and I don't want to screw it up.

If you don't know for sure, then grate it and don't take the chance!

    Good fortune to you.

That's what I ended up doing.

Some French soaps are awesome - Institut Karite for example.

Seems to be okay, though I see why all the vendors use twist up tubes instead of push up ones though. I bought a Brut deodorant stick to get a push up and when I was done packing the soap I was unable to push it up! I guess I packed it too tightly. Anyway I nuked it for 15 seconds and that loosened it up enough to get it to work. I like to let them set for a day or two before using so I'll get to it on Saturday's shave.
