Cleaned up as good as I wanted, but gonna leave it as is, original ! Hone this baby up and shave with it. My new American Steel turned out to have an old nostalgic look about it, I like the original look of these old vintage razors, just clean em up, hone em, and shave with em ! Like they say "if it ain't broke don't fix it" Not really sure what the scales are made of, the hardness and texture have me believing its Horn, and blade is either 1/4 hollow or near wedge.
Nice razor. I'd say by the looks of things the scales are horn. Old ones tend to get the lines in them almost like hair and the very thin edges tend to look frayed. Just my guess.
