Offered is a Y3 (1953) Gillette President. This beautiful TTO DE razor must have been released around the time of the Coronation set in England -- commemorating the coronation of the new queen. Possibly the US counterparts at Gillette got jealous & so they released a similar razor and called it the President! So 57-years old and the only wear that is obvious on this beauty is on the case. The interior is very nice, with a plastic liner for the interior top. The velvet base is quite nice. The razor itself is practically unused. I know that it provides a very smooth although slightly aggressive shave -- but not much more than what you would get from a Super Speed. The plating looks like rhodium, but there is controversy over that -- only definite is the rhodium plating on the head. Rarely seen on sale, but here's a great one for the shaver or collector among you. Delivered for $125 N. America. Slightly higher elsewhere. PM interest. SOLD
