I am offering this very good condition 1936 Red and Black set. During the 1930s and early 1940s Gillette was making a number of models out of basically the same open comb razor. The 1930 New Norfolk Gold, the 1936 Red & Black, the 1940 New Canadian Gold Special were all identical, except for the cases. They are referred to as having the same "common bar handle". Although open comb razors are thought to be somewhat aggressive, like the New Bostonian, I've found this Red and Black to be relatively mild. Smooth, comfortable, refined shaver that is not pitted, brassed, and no plating loss -- the case is decent but not up to the quality of the razor. If you've been looking for a vintage razor, and an open comb, this is a very good set and a good price for its condition. Offered for $36 delivered CONUS and CANADA
