Looks like they finally came out with it. It made the home page of the Trumper's web site. And my inside sources reveal: This just in: A popular retailer of the online persuasion may or may not have just received his/her shipment of GFT Sandalwood Skin Food, and initial feedback is that it smells like the cologne. That still has yet to be confirmed by another source, so take that for what it's worth (so far). More to follow... Sandalwood fans take note!
Interesting........ I wonder if they'll include a sample in the sampler packs we all ordered recently.
Confirmed by another source: It smells like the cologne. Is that good or bad? Who am I kidding... I'll probably end up ordering it no matter what!
Hmmm, This may be good, although...I am not a huge fan of the skinfoods in general...they tend to leave a bit of a sheen on the skin...they do smell nice though http://trumpers.com/monthly_feature.cfm
I was always curious why Trumper's kept the Skin Food line sort of limited. I wonder if this means they will bring out a few other types?
Hmm.. I'll probably wind up trying it, just cause I'm a sucker for new shave stuff. I haven't really cared for either the Coral or the Lime Skin Foods though.
I am sure I will order it. But I have never used any of the skin food products as an aftershave, only as a pre-shave.
I've had a bottle of the Sandalwood for about a week or so now. Feel and performance seem to be about the same as the Coral and Limes skin food. The scent is very similar to the Trumper Sandalwood Cologne. For me, I usually use the TSF mainly as a pre-shave. It's very arid here in Colorado, and I find that TSF just isn't sufficiently moisturizing for my face. I generally use Thayer's Witch Hazel followed by Nivea Sensitive AS Balm after the shave.
I have a sample on the way. Looking forward to trying it, but not really having high hopes based on my experiences with the other two Skin Foods. The Coral one was never at all soothing as an aftershave to me.
Got my sample today. Will give it a shot in the morning. I do have to say, while it smells nice, that is nothing like the scent of real sandalwood... not even close. Pretty heavily fragranced as well, more so than the other two Skind Foods. Guess I'll have a better opinion tomorrow.
I guess when I when I set my expectations low a new product always surprises me. This stuff actually isn't bad at all. Absorbed clean into the skin and was quite soothing, didn't give me the irritation the Coral did the few times I used it. Something tells me the fragrance of that Coral may be the culprit for me. Won't run out and buy a 200 ml anytime soon, but not bad stuff. Raf, you can move your stuff back, I'm keeping this one :happy102
I got my sample this week. I actually find the scent to be pretty subdued compared to the Coral. The scent is light, dry and fleeting. I was worried it would smell sweet like their shave cream, but its not. I think they did pretty well with this one. Jordan
I've had a sample of the Sandalwood for a few weeks now and finally got around to trying it this morning. I agree that the scent is fleeting, I was able to smell my previously applied aftershave splash not long after rubbing in the Trumpers.
Just received my order from Em's. This stuff is great. Got a tub of Trumpers Sandlewood Shave Cream to go along with it. Can't wait for the morning shave!
