This is a really cool piece, it looks to be unused and shows what the retail packaging with 5 blades for 49c sets would have been if you walked into a pharmacist to buy one when they did have these in stock between 43 and 45. The razor is definitely war time production because the base plate is ferrous and the blades date to 1944. This if unused will stay unused as long as I own it. There are plenty of user grade techs out there so no need to use this to see how it shaves.
Nice. I like the shipper. You are correct, there is no need to use that razor as plenty of them around. That said, it isn't particularly rare either so use it once in a while if you like. I do that with a nice Barbasol I picked up a few years ago. I jut take the blade out, clean, then dry the razor before putting it away and it still looks as good as the day I bought it.
