Found this at a market today. Payed 100 nok (13 usd). Needs a bit of care and attention, but opens and closes nice and all clicks work fine.
Thanks, I see that too. Those seiling for prices like that are very nice ones, but at least mine looks to be in working order, and I buy to use
The bladebox is empty though... There was a used blade, looked like a actual twin blade, two blades combined into one.
the concept is probably the father of Trac II. Gary gave some to younggun a while back. neat concept.
Not bad man. If the plating comes off after cleaning, sanitizing and polishing you still got a decent razor. Get yourself a little paint pen and paint them numbers in after it is shave ready. And yes those Schick blades had 2 edges and either side. Very similar to these actually. http://forum.shavemyface.com/viewtopic.php?t=31230&highlight=2002
Yes, I guess the razor will work just fine. Even if the plating comes off a bit. I am not going to be to aggressive with it, just make it clean enough to shave with. Anyone who knows the aggressiveness of the razor at each setting? Preferably compared to a gillette tech ball end.... I am very pleased with that one, combined with Astra platinum blades.
I only got along with astras when I didn't shave for close to a week. Anyways, maybe a 2-3 setting. I liked that cranked up to an 8 or 9 and did a single pass on my face and neck, and used it set @ 5 when I did my head. But i gots a Krona now ., that is another story however.
Thanks. That is about what I thought I would start out with. And rather go step by step if I want to try it a bit more aggressive.
Just make sure the head is not tightened down when you adjust the razor. Leave it lose or open when you go up or down.
I found one w/o case for $25.00 then had it replated they are very good shavers I have always liked slims...great find!
Great find! Make sure it gets soaked in some detergent like Dove and not too hot water. Run the adjustments up and down, cause that is where all the crud can collect inside. Load a blade and make sure the bar is even on all sides, and your good to go. I started on 2 and worked my way up. I use 5 on my face and 3 on the second pass of my neck now and it is in my top 5 razor. Enjoy it!
Thanks. It's been sitting in warm water and detergent. Scrubbed lightly, run a pipe cleaner through the cramped spaces and checked the adjustments
Think of two DE blades bonded to each other, one a little set back from the other. It's like shaving twice with one pass. Shave was interesting.
