I want to share with all of you a wonderful razor that I bought today.

First of all I love this text:

    Some pictures:

And this special signature, that shows the year it was offered, 1914. It was a special gift from "Isabel", a silver plated single ring Gillette =)

Normally, I don't name razors. That being said, I'm sure you'll get many fine shaves with Isabel. :)

    Nice catch.
    That's British Patent 28763 of 1902, not 1908, btw.

I think its 1908 because of the text written on the box =)

That might be the year it was made. The pat date would be what @riverrun is talking about.

If you look closely, it's a 2, not an 8.

Well looked again to the box and Yes its 1902. Sorry and thanks for it.

Funny thing, I found a legal document from 1908, because they were being sold for less the agreed price, 1 guinea.

The 1902 patent can, of course, be found on my site:
    https://razors.click/patents/GB190228763/
It's the (annotated) amended version. A British judge ordered them to have the patent amended (Gillette v. Luna Razors):

First night with "Isabel" =) and her blonde twin...

It was a pleasant shave! The razor was soft and nimble.

But now share your opinion about these new blades!

Well I get nicks every time! I found them very sharp, they dont seem to me Gillette platinum in a new box...

Tried different razors with them and the Nicks are winning =)

Both razors have a small crack in the handle. Should I find a jeweller to weld them or keep it like this?
