I have been wanting a pre-war Fat Handle Tech with the triangular holes. I just got one from a B/S/T. I look forward to shaving with it soon! It was worth the wait. Patience does pay off.

That's a very solid razor. I gave the same model to my middle son, his first DE razor. He's very satisfied with it.

It's not "pre-war", but I'm using a fat handle tech with the triangle holes as my daily driver. I don't have much to compare it to (yet), but I really enjoy it.

I've sold all my old Gillettes, with the exception of the Fat-Handle Tech.
It was one of my least expensive vintage acquisitions and has not failed to deliver a quality shave each time I've used it.
    Enjoy!

My friend- you have just acquired the greatest of all Gillette's fine offerings. The Fat Handle tech with the triangle slots is shaving perfection. Load it with a sharp blade (I love the Gillette blades, especially the India made ones) and you will have the finest shave you've ever experienced.

    Here's mine:

That was my first DE. I still love it and use it regularly. I found another one recently and gave it to a friend that wanted to try DE shaving. He loves his as well.

Great score!!! Definately one of, if not, the "BEST" vintage Gillette razors ever made...I could lose every razor I own and just keep my "Fat Handle Tech" and be perfectly happy...:)

I just used mine this morning and it's one of my favorites. Never fails to give a nice close, comfortable shave. If you're an every day shaver, the fat-handle Tech is pretty close to the perfect razor.

My first shave with the FH Tech did not disappoint! It feels great in my hand and is very easy to handle. I used a Gillette Silver Blue and Stirling Iced Coffee soap. It is more aggressive than my 1950 Ball End Tech and gives a slightly closer shave. I am going to like this one!

I never knew - an anti-skid razor! (printing on inside of lid, 3 o'clock position ;))

Wow, I would have probably paid more if I had known it had "Non-Skid Tread"! :D

I love the box this NOS Fatty came in! Can't really date these razors, but it's probably from 1938 to 1941.

I have had one for years now, love it! This one is in excellent condition though, great score! As was mentioned previously it works great IMO paired with a nice sharp blade. I can get a wonderful shave even when in a hurry.
    Congrats on an excellent purchase.
