Gillette slim 1962 adjustable

    Sweet! I just got a 62 Gillette Slim adjustable off e-bay for $26. Looks to be in great shape, I'll post pics when it gets in!

    I gots da RAD bad now! Have a Merkur Progress, and Ikon slant and now a 62 Slim. Hmmm.... What's next...

    Your won't regrete getting the slim. Besides it will keep your RAD in check for awhile since it will take some time for you to run and and down the dial trying to figure out what setting is best. Then if you add a few different blades in the mix, that should really keep you occupied.

    My advice...

    1st shave - set to 3, complete shave (however many passes you do), evaluate
    2nd shave - set to 4, complete shave, evaluate
    3rd shave - set to 5, complete shave, evaluate
    etc., etc., etc....

    Continue until you hit that setting that is just a tad too aggressive, back down a notch, there's your sweet spot. Work with that for a while to get more familiar with the razor, then you can begin to play more with the settings.

    I keep mine locked at 6 for all three passes. Works for me.

    That's a great deal on a great razor! I paid about the same for my Slim on the Bay and I'm still patting myself on the back.

    Damn I want one !!! And I am suppose to be getting my wife's grandfathers this weekend... I'm watching three adjustable a right now on eBay... Fat boy, slim, birth year and quarter black beauty adjustable... But don't want to buy until know what I'm getting ... I'm soooo anxious I feel like a little kid xmas eve..
