I received a British Gillette Slim Twist as part of a Christmas package. I got to use it today. I loaded it up with a Gillette Silver Blue. I didn't know what to expect with the light weight plastic handle. I was pleasantly surprised. With all the weight in the head, it gave up a very smooth, close, intuitive shave.

Glad to here. I've never use a slim twist and was curious how they performed.

Nice Christmas gift!! I've never tried a British Slim Twist with the fatter, flatter handle, only the thinner round handled American ones..Are both handles(thin and fat) the same length would you know? The thin handled ones basically shave like a SuperSpeed to me,but with a longer thinner handle..:)

I have no idea how the two compare size wise. I agree that the shave is very much like a regular Super Speed.

Cool. Can't go wrong with the Gillette Silver Blue blades either, that is my first choice in blades in all my razors following by Astra SP

Shave #2 today. The grip and balance are very good. This may end up being my travel razor.......

Interesting. I passed one of these up yesterday because i din't like the look of the handle. It might just be the perfect travel razor though.
