I got some "Spoilers" in a lot of razors and blades I recently received along with some Schick Deluxe and Gillette Platinum Plus (no date code). I have decided to try one out with my newly replated Gillette Aristocrat. The blades are date coded R3, so they are from 1971. The shave is scheduled for Monday since I have Straights Saturday and Single Edge Sunday to get through.

Do you hand strop vintage. Actually serious question. I tried some vintage that where a little tuggy until I gave them a little jean strop, but of course mine were blue steels not stainless.

If you don't like them, or just want to get ride of the dispenser, they'd go good with my cased short Black Beauty (R3).

I will see how it goes without stropping. I will probably do a belly strop after the first shave.

I like the music you chose for the belly strop.

I think you will like both Gillette vintage blades. I can easily get 7+ shaves with one of my Spoilers. I am using a Platinum-Plus right now in my Fat Boy.

These are my second favorite Vintage Razor Blades. Wilkinson Sword Super Swords are my favorites.
These Gilettes are smooth, long lasting, and excellent blades. They can be pricey, but every 've and a while, you can luck out, and get them for cheap.

Nice blades and usually very good ones even compared to today's blades.
