who is more sharper between the two ? who is more smoother between the two ? who is more longevity between the two ? what's your choice? Gillette Wilkinson Sword (Made In India) ASTRA SP
I have both, used both, and have relegated them to the Scrub box and give them to my son when I go south to give more razors to my grandson.
No experience with the Gillette Wilkinson Sword. But the Astra SP's never worked for me in all the auditions(3) I tried 'em in. Last three I didn't even load 'em up.
I have used both and I think the Astra SP is overall better, but the Gillette Wilkinson Sword is still a quality blade.
astra is a go to blade,seems smoother. i haven t used any blade past a week,2-3 shaves.my most aggressive razor(not including my old type) is a rocket hd so all my blades work well sharpness wise.
The Wilkinson Sword is a big miss in my den. Like, I only used 1. Astras are in ample stock and see regular use in any axe I throw it in. Very smooth, forgiving, sharp....it's a keeper.
I dont know how the Indian WS compare to the German ones but IMO the German WS are far superior to the Astras. IMO, Astras are a notch or 2 better than Derbys. Good blades but nothing special.
German Wilkies are wayyyyy different then the Indian Gillette's, I'd pick the German Swords over the Indian Gillette's, but would still pick Astra's over both of them.
+1 the German Wilkie's are far better than the Gillette's but the Astra"s are better than the German Wilkie's
