I give thanks to all who show their friendship such as the people on this forum. May you all, no matter where you are in the world, enjoy the spirit of Thanksgiving. It's a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life, love and friendship and to share the bounty of the year's harvest. Reach out and share something to others that may not have enough. Our family gives to the Second Harvest Food Bank each year so that homeless may have a Thanksgiving Dinner. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday. Cheers! ::

I wanted to take this opportuntiy to give thanks for having you as friends here at The Shave Den. Thank you for sharing your time and friendship with us. I would like to give thanks for the good health of my family and friends. I also give thanks for my good health and having the ability to provide for myself. I give thanks for having a special woman and for the peace and joy she brings into my life. Finally I want to thank the good Lord for watching over my family and my friends. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!! Raf
Very nice post Raf!!! For the first time ever I will be doing nothing. My family is in Florida and My Wife has to leave about now for a weekend competition she's just finish packing now. I will be left all on my own. I'll watch some ball, head up to the truck stop (nearest open resturant) for turkey, then settle back in for some Hockey and beer.
My wife and I have lots to be thankful for this year. We've just returned from Ethiopia with twin five-month-old girls. Theirs is truly an incredible story, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have them. We're taking it easy today, but we'll be going out for a nice dinner up in Fergie's neck of the woods (Jonathan Pasco's) a little later today.
Raf said it so well, I don't think I can do better. So...what he said! As for plans? Wasn't able to be with any of my family this year. Not sure if it's the first time, but it's been rare. Won't stop me from eating though! Going to low 'n slow a turkey breast over mesquite, made Mom's recipe cranberry salad last night and the rest of the usual fare. Never bothered to figure out how to make stuffing...but Kraft® did! And the best part is, I can do it right on my, uh, Stove Top!! Also cheated with Mrs. Smith's® pumpkin pie (hey, she's a close friend!) - but will make fresh whipped cream so all is not lost. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving - and that you can lose the extra 10 pounds soon; maybe even before Christmas!! :drool
