Man oh man, this cream is also a delight - have yourselves a read: Ease of lathering: 10/10--Sooooo easy and fun to work this cream to a lather! Longevity of lather: 10/10--Do 5 passes if you want without a problem! General skincare: 8/10--Good. The cream has a refreshing effect, and it moisturizes quite well. Scent: 8/10--A nice lemony-lime scent. Not too sharp, just right. Price: 8/10--A guy I know who sells it was a bit of a wise-guy at first. Now, no problem. Would I buy again: 10/10--Since this seller lowered the price, and I love this cream, yupp! Godrej shaving creams are top-quality and very good value - in fact they are actually cheap. They lather like champions, smell nice, and give pretty good skincare. The only issue for me is, they can be very difficult to get, because although this cream is from India, and we have a large East-Indian community here in Montreal, the Indian-owned stores very, very rarely carry it.
Agree with your evaluation. Nice product for both DE and open razor. Very reasonably priced for the quality you receive.
I picked up a tube of this at an Indian market in Atlanta. I think it was only $3. Great value & great cream.
With a slight delay, here's my verdict after several uses: bad. Though the lather and shave are okay, there seems to be little to no skin care. So while I get irritation-free shaves with pretty much all my other creams and soap, this one leaves my skin itchy and sore. Not buying it again.
I know an Indian guy who said the same thing about this particular cream. He finds it makes his skin itchy as well. Myself, I have no issues with it so I guess it's a case of YMMV.
