Any else giving this browser a whirl? I think it is even faster than Opera, so now my cable connection that clocks almost as fast as a T2 actually seems like it.
Nah, not yet. I'll wait a little while. Had some compatability issues with some sites not wanting to work with opera. Firefox works with every place I've been. Once Chromes been out a little longer I'll give it a whirl. I have faith in just about any product coming from google.
Yeah, I was also having issues at some sites with Opera, but so far, Chrome has been fine. What threw me at first is that there is no drop down to click on links to previously visited sites, but duh, there are thumbnails right in front of me on the home page.
Sounds interesting and sliglty intuitive. I think I only had problems with some of the sites I need to access for school that require secure logins and run a bunch of odd programs. But considering I'm taking an online class over the winter, I'll stick with FF for now. I had one site for school that I could only look at PDFs through IE. I would get all my morning web surfing done before IE ever got to the page and loaded the PDFs.
IE is simply ridiculous. As I said, I have this blazing fast connection, but it was starting to feel like dial up until I switched to Opera -- but I think Chrome is going to push that aside.
It all comes down to good coding and how the program handles loading pictures and everything. IE has horrible control over all that. Its a relic.
I was a solid Firefox user until I got Chrome. Now I use Chrome almost all of the time. It's fast and I like the fact that there are so little toolbars, and icons crowding the top of the screen. With my 19" wide screen monitor, that gives me even more real estate on my screen when online. My only complaint is that there is no way to export bookmarks for use in another browser, I have to manually add them to Firefox to keep my Favorites identical (I have to catch up sometime) but I use anything else so rarely these days that it doesn't matter much.
Safari and occasionally FireFox.. Google Chrome isn't available for the Mac yet... AFAIK I have IE on my work PC, only because I have to Tried Google Chrome there and it looked promising! Almost as fast as Safari...
