Got my new Becker scuttle!

So, I got my new scuttle from Robert Becker. I ordered the biggest one, because I have massive hands. This thing is incredible! I got to have hot lather for the first time today. Now a question. I may have just had my water too hot, but is it normal for the lather to kind of dry up and whisp away into nothing while I'm on my first pass?

 

Id say you got it too hot...Iv read using a scuttle you have to get the water at just the right temp....but iv never used a scuttle im just relaying what I have recently read on here.

You know, I got that on the B/S/T, and when I got it, I didn't like the smell at all. Once I let it sit without the lid, then whipped some of it up, it was quite nice!

 

yeah skuttles a bit to hot . back off temp some and it will be better

 

very nice scuttle ya got there, i am waiting for my moss scuttle to come, it will be here this week

 

Water may be too hot, or your not adding enough water to compensate for the high temp. Just need to experiment.
