I joined this forum last month to gather information on my venture into the wet shaving universe. Overwhelmed would be an understatement. Strangely the choice I had the most problem with was the brush. Currently everything is on order and should be here tomorrow (3-8-15). What I have on order is a Merkur 34C HD Razor, Proraso shave soap, Omega boar hair brush, and a sample pack of blades which include: Derby Extra, Bluebird, Gillette 7 O'clock, & Feather Hi Stainless. I also went by my local Rite-Aide and picked up some Clubman Pinaud AS. I went ahead and splashed some on when I got home. I love this stuff. Now, whether swmbo likes it is another story. I guess I'll find out when she gets home. I look forward to my first shave tomorrow and also on learning about everything. Everyone here seems to be friendly and knowledgeable. Hoping for very few nicks. I live in the Charleston, SC area - 44 yoa.

Would love to hear about your experience with Bluebird. I absolutely loved it, but I guess there is some bad history on the forums with them.
