Not sure where to start, but about 6 years ago I was on a trip and ran into an AOS store. Purchased one of their razor setups along with their oil, cream, and aftershave. Loved their products and have been using since. About 3 weeks ago I was in a AOS store in Orlando, purchased a Muhle R89 Grande as I had a gift certificate since Christmas. Went home and after about 3 shaves I lost the sweaty feeling and got an amazing shave. Since I have two residences and was using a cartridge at the other place, I needed another razor, so when they had the 30% off deal I purchased the R106 short to try. I have two silver tip brushes to go along with the razors. Then I decide to google Shaving forums, found you guys and I am amazed! So much out there, so many great tips, I just do not know where to start. Look forward to learning, building my collection, and yes, I have already found out there is life outside of AOS from this place. Rich
Welcome aboard! Very early in my switch to traditional shaving I ran into an AOS store and they gave me some free samples. Good products but yes, there's a whole world outside of there. Glad you found us! We have one rule about questions here......ASK THEM! Friendliest bunch of shaving lovers and enablers you'll ever meet!
Great story, and welcome to TSD. If you want to build your collection, I would type in "Vintage Gillette" on EBay. Fatboy razors and Slim Adjustable razors are fantastic to look at and shave with.
