Hello, I've been lurking around this forum for a month or so now, and after putting in an order at the store I decided maybe I should register and say hello. I've been using canned cream/gel and cartridge razors(with the occasional attempt to switch to an electric) since I was 15 but was tired of considering the layaway option for the mach 3's and fusion cartridges. After seeing Mantic's videos on youtube I decided to give a double edge a try. I've been shaving with an HD, switching between derbys, feathers, and the personna's from walmart, using Conk soap, and Bigelow cream and a badger brush from Lee's Shaving. I've been having good results. My problem is after looking around this forum I've gotten the itch to pick up some vintage DE, SE and straights. At first the idea of using someone's manky old razor turned me off a bit, but now the idea of using a 100 year old, or older, razor sounds pretty neat. My Fiance and I just bought our first house, so I had better wait awhile before giving in to buying too many new razors, but I look forward to building a mighty collection. It seems like a nice community here, and I look forward to participating. -Nick
