Yup, you read that right. I have converted many people over to the dark side over dining with this dish. Make yourself a grilled cheese sandwich, take a nice spoonful of VANILLA ice cream and plop it on top the sandwich, fold the whole thing in half, and enjoy.

Alot of guys on here have been told about this treat, but I do not think any of them have actually tried it yet. Please do so, and post your thoughts in this thread.

And what must one inhale prior to experiencing this ... delicacy?

Sad thing is, I may be the only person here that would give this "dish" a try. I'm not really skiddish about trying anything new.

No bong hits are needed to try this delectable delight!!

Ray, the idea is to plop the ice cream on the grilled cheese while the sandwich is still hot. That adds to the sensory confusion. It is hot and cold, salty and sweet, and crunchy and creamy all at the same time!!!!!!

Give it a try guys. You will thank me later.......

It really is good. I mean, when did people get the idea to take the sweetness of chocolate and smother a salty little peanut? The theory of it is odd, but it tastes good..................

I've been intending to try this for months, but the opportunity hasn't arisen...either we've made grilled cheese and I've forgotten, or the one time I remembered, we were out of vanilla ice cream

Holy Cow! I live in Wisconsin where we eat darn near anything under the sun. In fact, put it in the deep fryer and it's bound to be a hit here.

No offence intended, but this just sounds funky.

Well, I'm sure y'all have heard of putting a slice of cheese on a nice hot slice of apple pie, right?

I can still hear my grandma quoting, "Apple pie without the cheese is like a hug without the squeeze."

And then servicing it with a dollop of ice cream, right? It's not really that terribly different.

I found the picture on the net, but that's how we always did it ...

Apple pie ... cheese slice ... broil and melt ... ice cream!

    AWESOME!!!

Seriously, has no one else heard of cheese on apple pie?

Also, a popular rhyme from 1790 stated ...

"An apple-pie without some cheese Is like a kiss without a squeeze."

    Slightly different, but same sentiment.
