Another fine German import from Schwarzkopf & Henkel, Hattric Classic is a line of men's products that includes aftershave, pre-shave, deodorant spray and the like. Burn: Quite a lot less than I expected! Moisturizing: Pitifully little. If that's what the hydrogenated castor oil is for, it sucks. Heating: This is not a cooling aftershave. Menthol number 6 in the (long) ingredients list, but I didn't detect any cooling sensation whatsoever. I kept waiting for it, waiting for the after-burn to wear off and be replaced by mentholly goodness... but it didn't happen. Soothing: Once the heat died down, not too bad! Healing: Middle of the road. Price: $32 for a 100mL bottle shipped from a German import store in the US. Scent: I like it a lot!!!! Longevity is yet to be determined... CONCLUSION: What a great scent! Really, that's the best thing Hattric has going for it. That, and a minimally painful burn have allowed this German classic to stay in the rotation... at least for now. I'm seriously considering looking for a cologne version just for the fragrance... yeah, like I need any more of those. Maybe if I use a moisturizer afterwards...
