Halloween Teal Pumpkin Project

    If you expect to see Trick-or-Treaters, here’s a nice idea, about which I have just learned. It’s intended to make Halloween more fun for kids who can’t eat candy (e.g. kids with severe food allergies or diabetes.) Here is a link with some specifics about it;

    The idea is to have some non-food goodies (such as Halloween-themed stickers, stamps, bouncy-balls, etc) for kids who can’t have candy. You put a teal-colored pumpkin (or a window sign of one-available on the website) on display, so kids & their parents know you are participating.

    I think it’s a good idea and will be participating myself. In fact, I just finished painting a face on my teal pumpkin. Thanks for letting me spread the word.
