Rob Zombie is doing a remake set to come out on 31 Aug. Anyone else going to be waiting in line with me. I don't know if it will out do John Carpenter's (I don't think it will) but I am still wanting to see it.................
No I won't be waiting in line, but I can bring you some warm blankets and hot food, to ease your wait. Oh, and cold beer, of course.
Oh Hells Yeah! I can't imagine what Rob Zombie will do to make Halloween even more intense. When it came out, it was groundbreaking. This should be fun.
Rob Zombie's movies are just on a completely different level than other horror movies right now... This will be awesome.
Yea, but the last 3 Halloween movies were pure crap... So I think he's just trying to breathe life into a dying series. Plus- I think he is adding in some Prequel aspects, which if you follow movies, is sort of the popular thing right now.
Went and saw it a little bit ago. I'll be honest, since it was Rob Zombie directing, I figured it would revolve around the gruesome torture scenes like his previous movies... this was not the case. This is the first movie where Michael Myers has a talking role(as a kid). The kid they got to do the acting was real good. I'm not good at reviewing movies, but all I can say is this wasn't some mindless horror movie (like, say, The Hills Have Eyes). It was actually pretty interesting, and I'd like to see it again sometime(maybe even going back to the theatres. this seems like one of those movies made for the theatre).
Hearing about Rob Zombie remaking it has made me sort of want to see it. When I first saw the trailor I was thinking "here we go again, another 80s remake...".
I am very happy to see this, being such a huge fan of Carpenter and Zombie. From what I hear, Carpenter told Rob it was his, he could do what he wanted w/ it. Rejects was one of the best pieces of work to grace the genre in quite some time, I hope Zombie keeps it up.
Hey the orig Hills Have Eyes, was good Capt! Right up their with The Last House on The Left as one of Wes Craven's greats. I am going to see it Sunday, my Ebert and Roper report will follow. Till Then. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b-aVDy6JfQ[/ame]
Normally I'm not much for remakes, but with Rob Zombie directing this one, I can't wait to see it! He definately puts an interesting twist on horror films.
OK kids. I have seen it. 1. Pretty good for a "new generation" Horror movie 2. Right up their with the rest of Rob Zombie flicks 3. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AS GOOD AS THE ORIG. If you would like to know more PM me (don't want to ruin it).
I really like what R. Zombie did with House of 1000 corpses and Devil's Rejects so I really want to see this movie. I'll probably go watch it this weekend. BTW did anyone watch Hostel 2, and was it any good?
