Today is John Wayne's birthday.
Aw, crap...I forgot...
John & I have the same birthday - wow.......!
Rio Grande, one of the Cavalry Trilogy. Great movie!
I'm guessing his birthdays were happier when he was alive.
I would think.
I have one picture of the Duke. It was taken on the set of "Hell Fighters" in Baytown, TX in 1968. My Dad was a telephone man and was working on the set and got this picture made. That is the Duke in red and my Dad on the right. He had the Duke sign cards for me and my brother who were in Vietnam at the time.
Happy birthday, John...
Depending on where he is now; everyday is a good day.
My two favorites are "The Fighting Seabees" and "The Quiet Man"
Happy Birthday John Wayne!
"The Searchers" and "The Shootist" are my favorite two.
IMHO "The Searchers" should've been his first Oscar. Then he should've won for "True Grit".
A true American. I grew up with his movies.
