I remember seeing Star Wars in the movie theater. What a blast that was! I look forward to the new one.
I actually read the book based on the movie before seeing the movie. I loved it. There had been nothing like it before. But how did I miss episodes 1-3? I too am looking forward to episode 7 and seeing the reunion of the original cast.2
I saw it in the summer of 1977 at the Century theater on Wincester Blvd in San Jose. Huge theater. Went there with my older brother & some high school buds. I remember long lines that extended around the theatre. Good thing one of my friends worked there and got us in for free—and no waiting. 2
If that's what you'd like, why don't you post it? No need to alter my post. Have you read the pm I sent you?
If you have not seen Episodes 1-3 do not worry, you are much better off. The story line was terrible, I talked to friend once and we agreed that it was a mistake. The prequel trilogy ruined the Mystery and magic of the Original Trilogy. You had to imagine what Vader was like as anakin, What The Clone Wars were like, etc. I am not that hardcore of fan that I keep a tally of all the characters but Midichlorians and the whole prophecy of a savior — really? Anyway I hope whoever plays Chewbacca does a good job since Peter Mayhew is deceased. I still have a soft spot for Star Wars but it has become to popular and has been somewhat ruined. Sorry If I rambled on I am a bit of a purist is all.
I remember seeing it in the theater when I was 7. The bar scene was my favorite part. I haven't seen it in a long time. Is Netflix going to have it on or anything? I guess I could check that myself. Edit: Oh well, looks like not streaming but available on DVD.
