I had this cream left over from my original Harry's shipment, before I got into DE shaving, shave brushes, etc. It is a nice, slick, peppermint-smelling cream, and it worked well in the shower with a cartridge razor, just rubbing a thin layer on my face. Unfortunately, when I tried it with a badger brush this morning, it just would not lather up very much. It has a nice peppermint smell, and actually provided a good-quality shave, but there was no lather to speak of. I wouldn't throw it away, but I wouldn't seek it out either!
I bought a Harry's set for my brother last year for his bday. Tried getting him into using a DE and a brush but he didn't get into it. Anyway, pulled out the Harry's SC one day just to see if it lather, and that stuff stank! Stinky stinky! I can't imagine rubbing it on my face. Maybe that's just me, but even if it lathered well I'd stay clear.
