    I personally think they are a lot easier to manage when the scales are tight.

    I'm definitely looking forward to tomorrow's shave.

    Yes, and less bulky. These are like a block of wood. Perhaps, if I contoured it, and refinished it, That would improve the looks, and handling.

    I forgot to update. I honed this razor, and found the steel softer than expected. the edge also had a small wave, to the bevel. But, this did not affect the bevel, just the look. It did take a very very keen edge, and was buttery smooth, to shave with.

    I've now use this razor, a few times, and can say this razor takes a wickedly sharp edge, and delivers a fantastic shave. This razor is starting to grow on me.

    Glad you are liking it. I love the way my 6/8 shaves. I find that it also holds its edge well.
