Hi Everyone! So glad I found this forum. I currently live in the US, Alabama (ugh). I am a hairstylist and love my work. I have developed a interest/love for straight razors. I am a newbie, so please bear with me. Ha! I'm a mom (daughter 17/ son 8), g-ma (my daughter started earlier than I intended, lol), and wife. That's all I can come up with now. Thanks again for having me.
Welcome, and the pleasure is ours. Lots of sharp people in here, and lots of sharp objects, and yours is to differentiate the differences between the two.
Welcome to TSD @KimmIsSharp! We've got a bunch of members all along The Gulf Coast so you'll be fine. I'm on the other side of Louisiana from you, nearly in Texas. As a Hair Stylist, do you use a shavette to edge? I've enjoyed a couple Wecks that take those long hair shaper blades. Also used the 1/2 DE blade type. Right now I'm learning to not nick myself with a Feather Artist Club type Chinese clone kamisori / shavette. Straight razors are fun, but that's a whole 'nother learning curve when you start honing. I saw your other thread - try resizing those photos down to less than 1mb. Get them posted so we can identify your heirloom SR!
Glad you joined. Personally, I love Alabama; good people, good food, and some nice country side. Welcome to the forums. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Welcome, @KimmIsSharp, from North Cackalacky. Both of my parents were born and raised in Alabama. However, I grew up in Texas. Glad to have you.
Welcome from Alabama the Heart of Dixie. What part of the state are ya from. I reside in Tuscaloosa county.
