hey guys/girls wanted to find a forum about shaving and came across this one pretty fast and i must say it is great. like many other people, i am also sick of the mach3,4,5 and whatever else is out there. so i am going to take the time to buy some shaving stuff and hopefully improve my shave every morning. if you guys wanna throw some advice my way i would grately appreciate it. edit: love the store. i will be making some purchases in the near future. really eager to try some nice soaps.
Howdy and Welcome to The Den! Prepare to feel overwhelmed by the plethora of information that such a "simple" thing as shaving can contain. But, stick around, read, and ask plenty of questions, plenty of folks around that will help get you on the right track
I would suggest get a 3 piece tech gillette safety razor, a countru uncle badger brush from www.countryuncke.com or google search..also try amazon.com and get yourself a wooden shave bowl for lathering and a sample DE blade pack at www.westcoastshaving.com if you live in the USA..hope this helps!
Welcome! Advice? You have lots of good possibilities, and you'll get five opinions from any four people here on any given question. Take it slowly, and work on the basics first.
Don't expect the perfect shave day one. Practice, practice practice is the key to enjoying the change in this ritual. There are thousands of components out there, finding what suits you best will take some time. Use this forums advise, especially where you see consensus on a topic, it won't be disappointing.

DE razor with everything else needed for a good shave. i want something that isn't too expensive but i don't want anything cheap that wont last either. i've been reading threads and have already purchased some things including stuff from TSD store. can't wait to try it out
