I'll check out the 30 day crew. Not from Long Island -- my parents went up the valley after the Bronx. So I'm along the Hudson. Did the whole long commute to NYC for a very long time though. (Tradeoff of personal time for salary and career. Not willing to make that tradeoff anymore though as I got older.)
Well, it's still nice to know someone on TSD is from my state. The 30 day crew are a nice bunch of fellas. We share shaving knowledge, SOTD pics and friendly jabs.
I was offered a job in the city (currently in the Albany area). I was told I could live on the Island. Nope. I was not willing to sit on the train for an hour or more each way, no matter how much I could make. I imagine your quality of life is better without the commute into the city.
