Set up - My daily razor is a Merkur 34c. Pairs great with Feather blades. I rotate a few other blades, but nothing compares. I have a few classic Gilettes but haven't been happy with the glide I get from the heads. (Trying not to laugh...) My favorite looking razor is a Gilette Black Beauty short handle. That is art to me. Have restored a couple of these. Brushes: I have a badger Perfecto that has performed admirably. I am breaking in a Semogue 1305, but haven't gotten the hang of it yet. Soaps: I like Sudsy Soapery Vanilla and Vetiver, TOBS Mr. Taylor, Jermyn, and Eaton College, and all the RazoRock soaps that I've tried. The soap that knocked my socks off recently was Artisan Shave Soap Shoppe's Rival. Love the smell! (Been hitting up the WCS sample packs.) I also like to add Cremo for more slickness. Post shave is just straight witch hazel and little light unscented lotion.
I did not realize that Moose is a shave soap until just now. My handle is not meant to reference that soap. It's just a nickname. May have to give the soap a try now though.
