Gillette flare tip from the 60s, omega boar brush, tabac cream(almost gone), Nivea cream, godrej menthol and Nivea 2 phase aftershave.

I'm also looking for more info on the vintage Gillette like the open combs.

Welcome to TSD @Lord Gillette! Glad you joined up. For just starting out you've gone straight to some good products. I only recently tried Goldrej, like it for the post shave face feel - glycerin I think.

Huh? I'm going to have to look that one up! I enjoy a cooling lather. Have you used other mentholated soaps or creams for a cooling level comparison?

 

Godrej contains lanolin and only costs $2 SGD a tube here.

The only other menthol cream I've used is from Edwin jagger; a small tub of free sample from an old purchase.

The godrej is slightly more cooling but lathers better. Scent is about the same. The edwin jagger doesn't lather well at all. In fact, it just sticks to the face in lumps and doesn't spread out evenly.
