  1. And that, my friends, says it all.
  2. Not to promote myself or anything, but I have a freaking sweet sample thing going on on B&B right now. But it includes razors with you already have...

As to one brand: I started with Derby Extras and switched to Shark blades, mainly for the picture of the shark on the box. But they really are better blades in my opinion.

  3. I don't recommend Bull Mastiff for a new guy or the NEW head.
The BM is a heavy handle and even some experienced DE shaver find it too heavy.
I have a new project in the works the BM Ultra Light with a anodized aluminum handle, only problem is the whole batch has to be the same color, I'm thinking black would look sharp.
Sorry to hi jack this thread but I recommend that new guys start out with a razor like the Super Speed and one of the sample packs of blades.
  4. I've been a cartidge guy mostly but feathers when I did try the DE were my go to.
  5. GOOD POINT there Bob.

    Fuzzy
  6. I started with a ball end old style open comb and derby extra. That worked great for me but, Cooncatbob has made a very good point. So use all the info everyone has given to make your choice.
