Help me ID, please! Merkur 37G?

I've been researching this and can't find a definitive answer. I believe it is a Merkur 37G, but it has a smooth top and I can't find an example without the grooves. Thanks so much.

I have not seen a Merkur slant without the scalloped cap. If it were a Merkur, I would suspect that it would have the Merkur name on the bottom of the handle above the knob. I love my 37C. Welcome to TSD.

 

37c still around on amazon..no gold ones around though..

 

I believe you gave a Hoffritz Slant. What the handle say?

It is a Merkur, signed on the bottom.

 

Maybe someone put together a frankenrazor long before you found it. The gold hues on the head and handle seem close, but not perfectly matched. What’s it say inside the case? Might be worth an email to Merkur.
