G'day Please I'm looking for a complete catalogue data in PDF if possible information on all Omega brushes models which are following in millimetres:- 1. Knot size ? 2. Loft height ? 3. Handle height ? 4. Diameter size of the handle ? 5. What type of hair grade for each brush ? (similar to Semogue) I've already send email to Omega brush makers in Italy three times and I haven't be able to received a return reply for nearly 3 weeks Cheers
I suggest going to Maggard's site and look for Omega brushes. When you click on a model, and they have a lot of them, click where it says additional on their description and it will give you their dimensions.. It's how I got the other one. .
I wish the Omega site was as good as that! Tip: go for the Omega 20102 http://www.maggardrazors.com/product/omega-shaving-brush-20102/
Not a pdf but the most complete list of Omega brushes I have encountered so far... http://www.shoeboxshaveshop.com/prmishbrdisu.html
I'll try and keep it simple to explain the best I can. I've been paying close attention to Semogue product very carefully and I've seen and heard many wet shavers are becoming a huge favor of Semogue boar brushes, well while I was at the Lodge and I've come across 20 wet shavers are a huge favor of Omega boar brushes against Semogue and they've focus on knot size and loft size the boar hair grade is not that important. Omega is the only company can provide a better boar size knot with a shorter loft height for face lathering which I'm unable to prove because I don't have any hard data or information directly from Omega factory, why does Omega provide a bigger knot size and a shorter loft for boar brushes for example the guys at the Lodge saying the Omega 80266 has the best balance of splay and backbone against the Semogue 830 boar is very difficult for me to explain see link for example http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/459103-Semogue-830-or-Omega-81064?p=7465799#post7465799. If you're looking for a better knot, then the Omega is a better choice. As far as less splay, I would think the Semogue which is the same loft as your current brush but 1mm or 2mm larger in diameter than Semogue. For example if you pay close attention below to the knot size/loft height in mm from Omega vs Semogue for face lathering and I look for a loft height no greater than 55mm max and I own three brushes which are 620, 830 & 10065. Why is there not enough LOVE for Omega Boar while many are choosing Semogue Boar.
