I open this to ask for help in the choice of a soap or cream.

I am after pure Lavender and real Tea scent.

I prefer tallow based soaps notwithstanding i am satisfied of some ‘fat’ vegetal lathers (Scheermonnik, Valobra, etc).

    Lavender

I use Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge (Valobra hard croap) and Atkinsons cream.

Both smell very good for me, but that is the British approach to lavender.
I want one pure, Mediterranean, straight lavender as you can smell it in a field in Provence.

And want it to have a strong fragrance: Oxford & Cambridge is great, but too subtle.

    Tea

As above, I’d like to find a soap that smells like a nice cup of black tea.

I do not mind what kind of black tea: either Earl Gray, Orange Pekoe or others, it does not matter.
But I would not prefer the tea aroma submerged in other scents.

For instance, I have been reading of B&M Cheshire, but opinions differ: some (and the maker) say it smells like tea, other say it’s just due to the presence of bergamot. And it is hard to understand others’ nose!

Can anyone help me out of this?
I am not in a hurry.

    Thanks in advance

Actually some people print their "like" JUST as I finish my post. THAT is fast. Anyway, back to Lavender.

Not a soap, but Kiss my Face makes a Lavender Shea shave cream. It is strongly scented.

If you haven't tried KmF shave creams, you owe it to yourself to give them a try. The price per oz. is exceptionally low for the quality of the product.

It isn't sold as a lathering shave cream, but it does lather beautifully.

Edit: if you do end up buying it and liking it, save the pump head. The bottles are notorious for occasionally having non-working pumps. It's the only downside. They do also sell tubes of shave cream for travel as well.

    Thank you.

I have checked out the site, but the Black Tea scent does not appear.
Should it, does it smell like black tea really?
I have seen is tallow based and that's a plus in my opinion.
    It lathers well, doesn't it?

    I never heard of that.
Browsing on the site, the only shave cream is Natural Man Aqua 4 In 1 Moisture Shave Cream that is a moisturizing shave cream...
    A very exhaustive suggestion.
    Must get in depth...

    Thank you!

It's usually found at natural food stores here in the U.S. It's not the easiest thing to find overseas. Amazon U.K. carries some of their shaves creams, (or at least it did a few years ago). And there's a few other sites that carry it. Smallflower, maybe?

Kiss my Face was bought by another company in 2018 and pretty much shut down for 6-8 months while they restructured. They've been gradually restoring the flow of products over the last year.

All of their shave creams are marketed as "4 in 1 moisture shave".

I thank you very much, but rather prefer not to struggle to get a simple soap.
The soaps panorama on 3 continents is huge enough not to hunt for 'delicatessen': at my age, energy saving is a must! :D

    Thank you indeed...
