Took a trade in and received four straights.

One of them only has proof type markings.

With the blade facing left there is:

    C. P
    R
    W. B

The "R" is inside a diamond.

With the blade facing right there is:

    R. Special. R

Again, the "R's" are both in diamonds.

(Ignore the periods, my iPad keeps putting them in.)

The blade is 6/8 and has a barber's notch.

I can't upload pictures at this time, Sorry, will try again tomorrow. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I use picassa, but the problem I think is my connection. The upload of the image to the hosting site is the hiccup. Maybe I'll try another hosting site to see if it makes a difference. The file is too large to upload to TSD directly.

The lower part of the tang is beveled toward the blade like the Wade & Butcher's I've seen pictures I've seen. Since the markings don't look like those, I suspect this could be some kind of W&B copy?

    The other three are marked:

    Simmons Special #8
    Ohio Farmer A I
H.Boker with 'Elite' etched on the blade.

I removed the yet to be identified razor from the scales today.

The scales smelled really acrid. Pretty sure they were off gassing something acidic. There was also a crack by the lower pin. Lightly buffed the razor, cleaned and oiled. There doesn't seem to any bad pitting on the blade, fortunately. Just surface discoloration. Looks like someone tried to clean it up previously. You can see the polish marks from what looks like a felt point in a dremel of similar. Doesn't look like they did much damage as there are no scratches or gouges. There is a slight bur on the edge, but I think it's salvageable.

The Boker looks like it was also a victim of poor 'cleaning' as well. There is some minor scratching toward the end of the blade from what looks like steel wool was used, not the 0000 variety either.

A few hours of elbow grease later:

The Simmons, I have not touched yet (bottom)

The Ohio farmer, about two hours of work so far.

Maybe an hour and change on the top razor. I started with 220 lubed with ballistol. I think I need to pick up some 150 wet/dry to get the deeper pits out of the un-named razor.

The Simmon's Hardware one looks like a double hollow grind, also called a bellied hollow. I have a Korn with that grind.

Any tips for cleaning up the jimps?

I used the tip of a knife to scrape the bad stuff out, then 000 steel wool with soap on mine.

The the razor of unknown maker now lies in the hands of Kevin, aka @HolyRollah . He's kindly agreed to make me some new scales and hone it for me.
