Hello all, Jason from Kansas. I'm new to the forum but not new to wet shaving. Been doing it for many years now. I own a Gillette Black Beauty & Tech, a Schick Krona, and a newere Parker my wife bought me a few years ago. The Gillette and Schick razors were antique store finds. I joined so I could learn more and improve my techniques.

Welcome Jason @Eiklj ! Glad you brought your experience with you. Use that search box because the database is deep. Don't be shy about resurrecting an old thread with a new question or comment. If you don't find answers please do start a new thread. You're sure to get opinions, advice, even actual information!

Do you have a favorite blade to use in your DE razors? Are you using a brush and soap? No harm is canned products. I slip in a Barbasol lather occasionally. Got a favorite aftershave? Photos always welcome. You should view the Shave of the Day thread for some stunning photos. If you are looking to improve your technique, visit the 30 Day Rule/Focus group.

Friendly bunch of folks here. Thanks for the warm welcome.
    A little about me:
I'm currently using Barbasol for shave cream and Dove Men's Care for aftershave.
I came on here to learn more about all things related to shaving, especially creams, lotions, brushes, etc.
I'm going to be ordering a large assortment of DE blades soon. Currently I'm using whatever the grocery store has that's cheap. I'm ready to step my game.
Speed is my thing, I don't want to spend an hour shaving.
If I'm in a big hurry or traveling I'll use a disposable 3 blade.

Check the label. If they are store brand generic DE blades made in Israel you have experienced Personna Reds. A decent blade repackaged and widely available.
Blades descriptions tend to range from smooth to sharp. On the sharp end Feathers from Japan. Do try some Russian steel. Voskhod is a great blade.
