I have always been interested in old razors so when I ran across my grand fathers straight razor I was hooked. Like most hobbies I'll be getting into this hobby with a gusto! Eric (oemgapd) is a good friend and told me about the site. This is great and just maybe I can learn enough not to cut myself to bad with the straight razor Phil
Phil, You'll need to post a pic and tell us about that old razor. I'm sure the folks here would know something about it. EW
Thanks all! Eric good idea I'll post the writing on the razor as soon as they auction this Aston Martin on TV
WH Morley My grandpas old razor that I used as an avatar is marked WH Morley and Sons,Clover Brand then on the other side says Germany. The handle has a Crane standing in reeds. I'm not sure what the handle material is I do know he bought it in the 1920's.
Welcome to TSD Phil! I don't know what shape your grandfather's razor is in, but you may want to send it out to a honemeister to get it professionally shave ready. My $0.02. I don't think the Queen got to you yet, so don't forget to sign up for the January Newbie Giveaway. Good luck!
