Hey everyone! I've been lurking for a while, and I thought I'd say hi and introduce myself! I'm new to wet-shaving, but I immediately fell in love. I started using a safety razor on a lark, and bought a Merkur long-handle to try out. I also got the green line Proraso pre-shave/shave soap/ after shave, which I love. That said, I definitely have the bug and I can't wait to try different lines and razors. I inherited this early '40s (I think) Gillette Tech, and I've been using it instead of the Merkur. I've really been learning so much from this site!
Welcome aboard! That Tech would be a post war Tech, 1946 to 1950. The gold ones were from that era. Very nice shaver, quite mild and will serve you well. Glad to have you along for the ride! We're coming up on a new month so it would be a perfect time to join the 30 day crew for a Rule to really nail your technique!
