Don't know if any of you enjoy baking or cooking at this time of year, but I certainly do. I'm known around here (OK, at least within my family and close friends plus some Facebook friends) for making my Christmas sugar cookies each year. It's a recipe handed down to me by my mother, and while it isn't anything too far removed from a basic sugar cookie recipe, it is a tradition here. So without further ado, here is my recipe for Shotwell's Famous Sugar Cookies. It made the front page of Food.com last year! If you decide to make these, I would love to know how they turned out for you and see some photos. I'll post some pics of mine once I get some of them into the oven (the photos in this post are from last year's batch, posted to the article on Food.com. Also, if you have a recipe for Christmas (or Chanukah?) treats that you use, share in the thread below! http://www.food.com/recipe/shotwells-famous-sugar-cookies-443903 Enjoy!
